Celestite consists moslty of "orthorhombic" strontium sulfate (SrSO4)," with small amounts of barium included(Wikipedia,Mineral).
Celestite typically has a transparent appearance with pyramid shaped crystal clusters and is often sourced from Mexico, Brazil, or Madagascar, yet Celestite can be found in other locations throughout the world; even Texas has its own flavor of celstite. The more popular "Pale Blue" Celestite crystal, is found in Madagascar (Wikipedia). Celestine occurs most often as a "Clear grey-blue crystal", found within sedimentary rocks and presened as a geode.

According to Geology.com, Celestite may show evidence of phosphorescence which is when electrons are excited by incoming photons(light) and those photons "jump up to a higher energy level and remain there for a while before falling back to the ground state, or losing a light source," which is a swift process that causes the mineral to emit a florecent light (Geology).
